WHAT’S THE OPPORTUNITY?

Seamans Holdings seeks an Operations Specialist to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Firm. The Operations Specialist will primarily focus on fund administration but will participate in a broad range of tasks from investor relations, trading and operations. The ideal candidate understands that there is no “typical” day and is passionate about finding ways of doing more with less. This position requires great attention to detail, organization, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal skills.

ABOUT YOU:

The Operations Specialist will report directly to our Director of Operations and is expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. At Seamans it is important to identify investment opportunities rooted in the complex intersections of the material sciences, technological innovations and built environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying inherently disruptive technologies important to building a fundamentally just and regenerative society.

This mission driven candidate will research and present detailed investment reports to senior management in a clear and persuasive manner.

WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Coordinate monthly investor reporting with administrator
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank statements
  • Prepare appropriate material for client meetings/requests
  • Update performance attribution reports
  • Coordinate compliance reports
  • Support annual audit and preparation of tax forms and filings
  • Strategic review of current systems and process to improve productivity
  • Maintain/Create operational procedures.

WHAT KIND OF QUALIFICATIONS ARE WE SEEKING?

  • Prior industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Strong technological skills including mastery with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Advanced Advent Axys and Bloomberg skills are a strong plus
  • Well organized with great attention to detail
  • Analytical and research abilities
  • Excellent working ethic with a positive demeanor and focus on client service
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
